Lou Paolillo is a 2022 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Cardinal Newman. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, takes longer strides to the ball in the infield, actions work to the ball, extra step through release with a similar release point on throws. Also pitched, higher leg lift up past belt with a simple turn into delivery; gets tall on backside with a shorter arm action through the back. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, has been up to 86 mph in previous looks, pitched to contact and mixed in a curveball with 12-6 shape and short depth up to 73 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, lowers hands moving into load and uses a leg lift trigger. Upper body dominant swing, shows strength in hands and can impact when squared, front side occasionally opens early, loudest contact to pull side. Very good student.
