Luis Gomez is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Royal Palm Beach, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.19 seconds. Hits from balanced and slightly closed stance, knee to knee load with scap load as well, releases the barrel with authority and a tight turn, rotates well and gets core engaged, big juice to the pull-side. Worked out at first base, clean hands and funnel out front, functional athleticism, turns well and shows the arm, clocked up to 85 mph. Also pitched, fastball worked 81-85 mph with good heavy sink, flashes slider with good tilt, solid two-pitch mix that can overpower. Good student, named to 2021 Main Event Top Prospect List.
