Adam Kirk is a 2017 RHP with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Eureka, CA who attends Arcata HS. Outstanding athletic build, big and strong and projectable. Slow paced start of delivery, has hard acceleration to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot with some lean off at release, quick compact arm action, tends to get off balance at release. Primary fastball pitcher, maintained in his fastball velocity very well for four innings, topped out at 86 mph, fastball mostly straight, tends to work and miss to the glove side. Slurve type breaking ball will show shorter cutter break at higher velocities and more vertical depth at lower velocities. Did not observe a change up. Young pitcher with a profile build and a strong arm to develop. Very good student.
