Bryce Ball is a 2016 1B/3B with a 6-5 235 lb. frame from Mason City, IA who attends Newman Catholic. Large frame with present strength throughout. Left handed hitter with a spread, open stance anda hanging leg kick trigger. Creates good shift into contact with aggresive lower half, linear mechanics. Generates plus bat speed to the pull side gap with the intentsion of driving the baseball deep into the gap. Creates good seperation at load that allows for additional bat speed and strength at contact. Turns the barrel aggresively to contact producing plus pop and loud contact. Continues to improve plate discipline while in games playing to his swing strengths. Work out defensively at first base showing clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front. Has good athletic actions while coming off the bag and pivoting to second base. Clean glove to hand exchanges with a deliberate gather into throw. Solid arm strength across the infield with carry and accuracy, topped at 82 mph. Tools should continue to develop with maturity. Commited to NIACC.
