Daniel Hunter is a 2016 RHP with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends St Raymond HS For Boys. Projectable, athletic build with room to add strength onto frame. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Fastball worked in the 71-75 mph range, mixed in two different off speed pitches as well. Ability to command and spot his pitches will improve with more consistent delivery mechanics. Curveball topped at 64 mph with some late life and changeup shows fade to his arm side at 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a high hand set. Patient approach, upper half swing, simple and repeatable swing mechanics, Keeps hands in close and stays inside the ball well, creates contact to all fields. Good student.
