Victor Arreola is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Madison High School. Large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran an 8.15 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, gets tall coming out of crouch and can continue to gain additional ground with footwork, short stride, compact arm action on throws down to second base, shows accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; looks to drive off backside in swing, gets uphill with path at times. Shows fluidity to hands and looks to lift at the point of contact, does a nice job of getting extended with the barrel out front. Can continue to refine lower half in swing, shows nice carry to his pull side. Very good student.
