Zack Sherwood is a 2017 3B/1B, OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from San Juan Capistrano, CA who attends Saddleback Valley Christian Schools. XL frame with lean build, high end physical projection. Hits from open stance with loose, fluid swing. Very calm in the box, highly projectable with the bat. Shows good bat speed and quick hands with natural loft in swing, has some power now with more in the tank as he continues to develop physically. Shows solid defensive actions in the infield, with clean hands and solid range to both sides. Deliberate actions that work well throughout, accurate throws across the IF to 1B at 78 MPH. Ran well for size, posting a 7.30 60 yard dash time. Named to 2015 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
