Robert Buecker is a 2019 MIF/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Allentown, NJ who attends Notre Dame. Strong, ahtletic frame, square shoulders, continues to fill out physically with every look we get. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows quick feet moving towards the ball with balanced actions, controls body well and works behind ball going up the middle with longer strides, works through it well, can throw from multiple slots with accuracy and strength. Also pitched and shows solid potential, high leg lift up past belt with good tempo through. Loose and fluid arm action working to three-quarters slot, quick arm and generates plane with running life to fastball which topped 87 mph. Attacked hitters and held velocity out of the stretch, repeats well and can miss bats. Flashed ability to turn over changeup at 74 mph, 12-6 shape to curveball when on top with bite at 73 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set at the plate. Shifts weight well through lower half and stays short to the ball with swing path. Comes off the barrel well when squared, swings with intent and looks to elevate the ball with lift and back spin to middle and pull side parts. Nice two-way potential. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
