Jack Leftwich is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Maitland, FL who attends TNXL Academy. Big athletic build, strength and looseness with some projection remaining. Long and loose arm action, gets lots of extension to the plate, good downhill plane from a high 3/4's slot, front side will open early at times, pretty clean delivery for a power pitcher. Fastball topped out at 94 mph, gets the ball to both sides of the plate and works down in the strike zone, mostly straight. Showed good feel for a firm change up. Slider wasn't consistent but flashed sharpness when he stayed behind the ball. Outstanding raw arm strength and he threw lots of strikes. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Florida.
