Hayes Durant is a 2016 C with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends Pensacola Catholic HS. Tall and projectable athletic build, room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, tall open stance with a low hand start, has quick hands and some ability to lift and pull the ball, good raw bat speed, has the ability to hit to all fields, hits relaxed and has a good idea of the strike zone. Blocks well on defense, has good raw arm strength, tends to stand up to throw slowing down his pop times, can improve lower half quickness on defense. Son of PGA golf professional Joe Durant. Good student. Named to the Showcase All Prospect Team.
