John Crowley is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Spring Lake Heights, NJ who attends St Rose. Medium frame with athletic present build; body projects very well. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.66 seconds. Shows good balance throughout hitting mechanics with an up-the-middle approach, line drive swing plane with solid overall contact ability. Has good athleticism and quick-twitch in his outfield defensive actions, moves well to the ball and fields cleanly while working through it, clean and easy arm action with highly projectable arm strength. Made accurate throws with consistency, up to 75 MPH. Pitched as well, hands over head into delivery, generates solid plane to the plate and gets on top of the ball. Fastball worked 70-72 MPH and touched 73 MPH; pitch shows solid arm side life when down in zone. Showed slider in mid-upper 60's with solid tilt. Threw strikes consistently with both pitches.
