Mitchell Ketcham is a 2017 1B/C/RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Sequoyah HS. Big and tall athletic build,, good present strength, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter, hand drop tripper, late close with his front foot from a open stance, timing is inconsistent, has obvious strength in his swing, ball jumps hard when he squares up the ball, can extend his hands better through contact, hitting tools to develop with adjustments and better consistency. 7.53 runner, has good footwork and some athletic agility around the first base bag, makes accurate throws, presents a big target. Also catches but has likely outgrown that position. Took a turn on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, multi-part delivery, gets extended well out front from a long and loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, sweeping soft curveball, threw both pitches for strikes. Very good student.
