Evan McKenna is a 2018 OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Bishop Verot HS. Medium frame with present strength on the frame with quality athleticism as well. Ran a 60-yard dash in 7.11 seconds. Primary outfielder with a shorter arm action through the back. Upper and lower halves work well as he makes good use of the crow hop. Throws were accurate and flashed carry while arm strength is still developing. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and a lower hand set. Very short and compact swing with an inside path to contact. Swing was consistently on time and he repeated it well. Flashed quickness to hands with some bat speed and can drive the ball well to all fields. Line drive swing plane that he repeated and showed the ability to turn the barrel over to the pull side where batted balls had good carry. Good student.
