Matthew Urban is a 2018 RHP/MIF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Paschal HS. Large frame with longer limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stays slightly flexed on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Hides the baseball well at take back and released from a low three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed good sink with run to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Breaking ball showed looser spin with some sweep to arm side in the low 70's. Commands the zone well and effectively moved to each edge of the plate with both pitches throughout each inning of work. Good student as well.
