Joseph Messina is a 2019 MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Brookline, NH who attends Hollis-Brookline High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.66 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fielded out front with ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Raw arm strength and should continue to work on fluidity through actions. At the plate, started with an upright stance, slightly open base, high back elbow, and a simple load and shift to the ball. Showed best bat to ball ability from the left side with a line drive swing plane and clean hand path. Looked to lift from the right side with a more extended path and ability to drive the ball in the air. Good student.
