David Smith is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Allatoona HS. Medium athletic build with some present strength. 7.02 runner, straight back catcher, good footwork shifting and blocking, quick release with minimum gain in his lower half, has good arm strength, 1.87 best pop in drills, 2.07 game, also plays first base. Left handed hitter, open to straight stance with a very high back elbow to start, line drive swing plane, aggressive hitter with a loose and full swing, has some bat speed with more to come, front side will get early at times.
