Brett Steinle is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Seven Fields, PA who attends Seneca Valley. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.07 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, fluid footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and works through transfer well. Flashed solid arm strength generating accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a tall, upright stance and large leg lift trigger. Aggressively shifts into contact and swung with extreme intent. Barrel came through the zone on an uphill plane that generated good leverage. Present bat speed with strength at contact. Consistently turned barrel to baseball creating hard, loud contact throughout batting practice. Also pitched showing a small rock step to leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot and generated good plane with run in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good spin and occasional depth. Also flashed a changeup with some wiggle to arm side in the upper 60's. Looked to fill the zone and consistently replicated arm action and tempo. Named to the 2017 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect list. Excellent student.
