Sam Stepp is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 5-10 182 lb. frame from Dalton, GA who attends Dalton HS. Medium athletic build, has good present strength. 6.77 runner, strong fundamentals defensively in the outfield with good footwork and an easy arm action, makes accurate throws with some on line carry. Right handed hitter, wide straight stance with a deep hand load, fires his hips well and gets his lower half involved, has quick hands and good bat speed, nice direct path to contact, middle of the field approach with gap to gap power, has the hitting tools and approach to keep developing. Well rounded player. Also pitched, fastball up to 80 mph.
