Jackson Pyles is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Stratford Academy. Lean, athletic frame with good room to continue filling out body moving forward. Compact and repeatable delivery with good online direction to the plate. Stands tall on backside and utilizes lower half well. Throws from low, extended three quarters arm slot, FB has good life to arm side and comes out of hand well. FB worked 78-82 and touched 83. Loose arm action that works well. Pitches to both sides of the plate with his fastball and gets quick, weak outs as a result. CH shows good feel, with fading action and depth. Flashed CB with good sweeping 9/4 shape and some depth, good rotation and overall sharpness on the pitch. Challenges hitters and throws strikes with all pitches. Very good student.
