Ryan Watson is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends J L Mann HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. 7.32 runner, has good quickness and aggressiveness on the bases. Right handed hitter, open start, limited shift towards contact, limited lower half involvement, gets a good simple hand load and is timed up well, short and quick swing with some bat speed, line drive/middle of the field he executes well, chance to develop more gap power with more lower half use. Has quick actions behind the plate, gets rid of the ball quickly, tends to stand up before throwing but has sound footwork, compact arm action but can improve consistency in release point for better accuracy, 2.06 best pop time. Has the athleticism to keep improving in all areas.
