Grayson Caldwell is a 2018 C/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pope HS. Medium frame with solid, athletic present build and some projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.85 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with high hand set and high back elbow, small leg lift trigger. Shifts well into contact, generates some loft in swing, solid bat speed with whole-field approach. Has some strength now, capable of hitting the ball into the gaps, projects for more power with additional strength. Worked out defensively behind the plate, good low set with flex, receives well out front, gains some ground moving forward into throwdown, repeats well, has quickness in arm and shows solid arm strength, clocked up to 72 MPH and popping as low as 1.89 seconds. Good student.
