Danny Serretti is a 2018 SS with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Berkeley Heights, NJ who attends Governor Livingston HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout body. Run times continue to improve, posted a solid 6.83 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, gathers well behind the ball with balance to footwork, shows smoothness to actions with sound arm speed on throws across, quick transfer, moves well to either side, high energy player with tools to match. Switch-hitter, similar approach and outcome from either side of plate. From the right side beings with an upright and even stance, lower hands set but creates nice bat speed with a loose and smooth barrel path. Creates nice leverage and separation at contact with hard jump coming off the barrel. Repeats swing very well from left side, same big bat speed with natural feel for the barrel and hard jump coming off to the pull side. Continues to improve each time we see at an event. Named to Main Event Top Prospect List. Very good student. Verbal commitment to St. John's.
