Asher Thompson is a 2021 OF/2B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Fishers, IN who attends Heritage Christian. Developing build with plenty of room to grow and fill into as he continues to develop. Primary outfielder, is meticulous with his reads off the bat. Clean glove work, arm strength will develop nicely alongside his build. Shows good accuracy to all bags. In the infield, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Shows some fluidity to and through the baseball. Good footwork while on the move. At the plate, uses an even and upright stance with quick hands that stay inside the baseball with consistency. Sprays balls around the diamond, hands work directly to the baseball. Good overall barrel control, excellent student in the classroom as well.
