2016 Mid Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Ronald Meehan is a 2017 RHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Brielle, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows solid balance to delivery and repeats delivery well, incorporates lower half well and drives on line down the mound, uses length to create good extension out front. Clean arm action through the back and works to a three-quarters release point, consistently on top of the ball and pounded down in the zone, topped out at 83 mph and has been up to 88 mph in the past. Nice plane to fastball and works ahead in the count, able to throw curveball for strikes in any count and used as an out pitch with 12-6 shape and late bite. Mixes well and throws three pitches for strikes, athletic off the mound. Good student. Named to Mid Atlantic Top-Top Prospect List.
