David Sweat is a 2017 OF/ with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Lagrange, GA who attends Lagrange. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build and very good projection remaining on frame. Ran well, posting a 6.70 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with balanced base, high back elbow set with high hands as well. Some hand activity into load, gets barrel on plane well with line drive swing plane, shows good bat speed through the hitting zone, makes contact out front well and projects to have more power with increased physical strength moving forward. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves well to the ball and has athleticism throughout actions, fields cleanly at the ball, transfers cleanly and makes quality throws to target with accuracy and solid carry, clocked up to 78 MPH from the outfield. Very good student.
