Matt Waddell is a 2015 OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Creek HS. Large, athletic build with long limbs and present strength on frame. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well with long strides, fields the ball out front, gets on top to generate carry on accurate throws, long transfer, shows strength on throws and comes out of hand well. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread lower half and has pre-pitch hand movement. Long, smooth swing with nice bat speed, creates contact to the opposite field, front side opens early at times, uphill plane and looks to lift. Very good student.
