Colin Pollard is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Lumberton, NJ who attends Rancocas Valley. Small frame with a lean build. Shows plenty of room for additional size and strength. Right handed hitter with a spread, balanced stance. Hands load to a deep position and strides with a slight leg lift trigger. Hands launch on an inside path to the baseball with a level swing plane through the zone. Primarily uses a mid-field approach but shows balance and barrel skills to hit to all fields. Smooth swing path with rhythm. Swing projects, will continue to develop with physical maturity. Worked out defensively from the infield showing a full arm action with some quickness from a lower slot. Throws produce on line carry with accuracy topping at 72 mph across the infield. Good range to both sides with extended range to backhand. Shows developing glove actions while surrounding the baseball with clean glove to hand transitions. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and fluidity.
