Langston Taylor is a 2019 3B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Jackson, GA who attends Jackson High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Primary third baseman, moves well on feet and shows balance moving towards the ball, maintains body control and coordination well on the charge and showed skills in game, can adjust to the hop, hands play nicely at the ball out front and show funnels well into a lower slot, quickness to actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Full swing path through the zone and incorporates physical strength, simple mechanics at the plate. Shows looseness to hands and wrists, best contact when getting the barrel out front and creates jump off the barrel, occasionally gets too inside the ball. Very good student.
