Ethan Blinka is a 2017 3B/RHP with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from Somerville, TX who attends Caldwell HS. Has a strong build with strength in body. Hits from a slightly open narrow base. Aggressive approach with a line drive swing plane and mid field lift. Good extension through the ball, ball really jumped when centered. Has ton of power potential with a little more consistency in swing plane. Defensively, primary third baseman. fields in middle of ball and has solid 3B actions, sure actions and fields with two hands, accurate throws that show carry across diamond. Also pitched. Slow pace delivery, short arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot. Throws downhill on fastball and consistently worked lower part of zone. Mixed in curveball at 67 wtih developing spin and action. Outstanding Student.
