Joannes Diaz is a 2016 C with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends Bilingual Education School at Cidra. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Has a low and flexible set up behind the plate, good quickness and comes out of his crouch quickly, compact arm action and release, can improve footwork, 2.00 best pop time, 2.07 in game. Right handed hitter, open stance with a small leg lift trigger, late hand hitch load, gets his back elbow very high, rotational upper body swing, level swing, spray contact to all fields, best when getting the barrel out early. Good student.
