Cameron Brooks is a 2017 MIF/3B, OF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Northborough, MA who attends Algonquin Regional High School. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, works behind the ball to get into a good throwing position, short steps moving up the middle, very short and compact arm action on throws across, extra step at release, gets on top of throws, arm strength and carry will continue to develop with added strength. Righthanded hitter, square stance in the box and begins swing by loading hands deep. Has moving parts to swing but able to stay short and direct to the ball, occasionally gets to the front side early and is early with timing. Line drive swing plane through the zone and able to create line drive contact, shows a feel for the barrel and can work all fields. Very good student.
