Garett Brewer is a 2015 C/RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Killen, AL who attends Brooks. Extra-large, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout his frame. Primary catcher, low exchange from glove to hand, short and compact arm action with strength down to second base, can improve pop time with incorporation of lower half into throws. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action and wrap in back. Steady tempo delivery, filled up the strike zone with fastball that topped at 81 mph with slight arm side run and shows an 11-5 curveball at 67 mph with some depth and short break. Right-handed hitter, short stride at start of contact, pulls hands in well on inside pitches, creates extension in swing and looks to lift, will continue to develop strength in swing.
