Christopher Herrera is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends Montverde Academy High School. Medium build with a lean, athletic frame and room to continue to fill out. Posted a 7.01 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moved well with a longer arm action and developing arm strength. At the plate, started upright with a lower hand set and a leg lift timing mechanism. Hands are in a good spot in the swing for line drive contact. Fires upper half to the ball with a lower half that is not in sync. Lifts ball well and will see improved contact with additional strength. Also pitched, showed a long, full arm action from a mid three quarter arm slot with varying release points. Utilized a 74-76/77 mph fastball and mixed in a curveball at 73 mph. Very good student.
