Sam Lamotte is a 2016 RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Gurnee, IL who attends Warren Township HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Low 3/4's to side arm release point from a full windup, long loose arm in back, stays closed and balanced well, good overall pitching tempo. Steady upper 70's fastball, big tailing action at times. Sweeping low 70's slider with good depth and spin. Works quickly and throws strikes, has an idea how to pitch and is effective. Should continue to improve with additional strength and his arm slot will give him advantages. Excellent student.
