Jared Llanos is a 2018 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Lancaster, CA who attends Lancaster. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build. Body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.35 seconds. Hits from open stance with good balance, pronates front foot into load slightly, strides well and brings backside. Shows good ability to control the barrel and make solid contact all over the zone, line drive swing plane, will drive the ball more with additional strength gains. Moves to ball well in the infield with good fundamental footwork, fields cleanly and shows solid range to both sides. Transfers cleanly and release is quick out of hand, infield velocity clocked up to 77 MPH with good accuracy across the diamond. Pitched as well, shows longer arm action into stab in back of arm circle, up to high three quarters slot with solid arm speed. Has good direction to the plate in delivery, FB worked 72-74 and topped at 75 MPH. Showed CB with slurvy break, solid spin and overall depth. Good student.
