Christian Beal is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Flossmoor, IL who attends Marian Catholic HS. Has a medium frame, athletic build, plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 6.95 60-yard dash. From the infield, showed good hands, quick footwork, and good lateral range to both hand and glove side. made accurate throws across the infield with arm strength up to 82 MPH. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and a slight bat wrap. Has a short, compact swing on a line drive swing plane with some lift at the point of contact. Showed a good feel for the barrel and repeats swing mechanics well. Good instincts on the ball field. Excellent student.
