Jonathan Carrillo is a 2017 SS/OF with a 6-0 142 lb. frame from Beeville, TX who attends A.C. Jones HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill with added strength. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, short steps to the ball and fields out front, effort at release but shows strength from the hole with a short arm action and accuracy off balance. Full arm action from the outfield, tall at release with accuracy on throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a spread lower half and shows solid plate discipline. Short hand and bat path to the ball, line drive swing plane with consistent contact to the middle of the field but shows ability to hit to all fields. Front side opens early, generates nice bat speed in swing. Outstanding student.
