Raymond Ramos is a 2015 RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Vega Alta, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Slender athletic build, bigger than listed size. Low 3/4's to side arm release point, whippy fast arm action, very deceptive arm slot, ball comes out of his hand easily. Upper 80's fastball, gets big hard running and sinking life on his fastball, very uncomfortable at bat for a right handed hitter. Lacks consistent feel and spin on his slurve type breaking ball but flashes some bite and depth at times. Dominated, 10 strikeouts in four innings with no walks, just hammered the strike zone with nasty live stuff. Impressive young prospect.
