Zach Mann is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-6 220 lb. frame from Union, KY who attends Ryle. Extra-large, athletic build with long limbs, projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, uses an up-tempo delivery with late backside collapse, shows ability to repeat well and work down in the strike zone. Quick, compact arm-action with solid arm speed and some deception. Works to a 3/4's arm slot, will occasionally drop to lower 3/4's slot. Fastball up to 80 mph, offering shows sinking life and slight cutting action. Changeup in upper-60s plays well off of the fastball with fading action, late dive. Also has solid feel for curveball, offering has tight spin with short, downward break on 11/5 pitch shape. Right-handed hitter, large gather and shift to contact, inside hand path. Line-drive swing plane, shows strength off of the barrel when squared, ability to lift and backspin the ball to the pullside. Good student.
