Luke Vargas is a 2017 3B with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Brighton, CO who attends Prairie View HS. Compact build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, rock back load with no stride towards contact, very low hand load, short quick swing, tends to cut off out front, contact approach, can improve bat speed and ability to drive the ball with better extension through contact, hits to all fields. 7.82 runner, fields out front and charges the ball well, good hands at the ball, low throwing slot can be raised for better raw arm strength and carry. Good student.
