Nathan Hutson is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Shelton, WA who attends A G West Black Hills HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger especially in the lower half. Full hands over head delivery, long stride out with an extended landing spot, has good arm quickness with a quick arm from a high 3/4's arm slot, not consistent yet with his release point. Has good arm strength, fastball topped out at 82 mph with more in there, fastball mostly straight, had trouble consistently getting on top of his fastball and working down in the zone. Curveball flashed tight spin and hard biting action in the upper 60's, 1/7 shape with some depth to it when he was on top of it. Has the arm strength to continue to improve with adjustments. Good student.
