2019 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Michael Zarrillo is a 2021 SS/2B, 3B, UT with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Showcased a medium frame with an athletic, somewhat lean look showing some room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.59 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop flashing good feel for working around and then through the baseball. Clean gather with a smooth glove. Feet always underneath him as he went on to utilize a quick transfer and release. Great range going both way. Accurate throws from all angles. Switch Hitter. From the left side, slightly open to start with high hands. Bat speed a plus. Linear swing path looking to drive the baseball gap to gap and did so. From the right side, very similar stance with high hands as well. Lands a bit wider but the balance still there. More compact swing with a smoother cut as he consistently squared up the baseball from this side. Outstanding Student. Named to Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
