Ryan Docuyanan is a 2018 OF/MIF with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Millikan HS. Compact frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.15 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder, smooth actions while closing on the baseball with clean glove actions. Quick, clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Arm works well with a quick release. Topped at 86 mph from the outfield producing very good carry to the bag with accuracy. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing compact footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front. Throws well on the move while working to glove side. Topped at 81 mph from the infield with accurate, on line carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with a spread, balanced stance. Shows quick hands while launching to contact and stays behind contact well. Shows an aggressive approach while swinging with intent to drive the baseball. Repeats swing path well and consistently squared up contact throughout batting practice. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student.
