Spencer Erickson is a 2017 SS/C/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Ketchikan, AK who attends Ketchikan HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, open stance with a quick late hand load, drifting shift into contact, will get off balance at times, hand generated swing, best contact to the middle of the field, line drive swing plane. Second base actions defensively, low arm slot with flip throws, tends to get glove down late fielding the ball, has some athleticism to improve with more fundamentals. Also pitched, compact arm action, gets turned well and stays directional, tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, mostly straight, rare curveball. Good student.
