Richard Egloff is a 2007 RHP with a 6'3'', 210 lb. frame from Middle Island NY, who attends Longwood. Egloff has a big frame with a tall strong build. Egloff pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and uses a long arm action. He has good arm speed and throws with average effort. He uses a drop and drive style delivery with a high leg lift. Egloff has a quick paced delivery and works quick between pitches. He falls to the 1B side at finish and has solid mechanics. Egloff throws a curveball that gets 11/5 break and he consistently throws it for strikes. He gets good sink on his fastball and has command of his change-up as well. Defensively he has good feet and throws with a clean arm action. At the plate, Egloff starts with a wide base and takes a reverse stride. He bars his front arm and glides into his swing. He has some raw power with good power potential. Egloff is a very good student.
