Tyler Lafreniere is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from North Attleboro, MA who attends North Attleboro. Medium, athletic frame with solid build throughout body and good room for continued physical development. Posted a 7.40 second 60 yard dash time. Hits from wide spread stance with slight crouch, inside-out swing approach with intent to hit the ball to the opposite field. Showed good hands to and through the zone, line drive swing plane with some quickness, made consistent contact up the middle and the opposite way. Worked out defensively behind the plate as a catcher. Showed quick, clean transfer from glove to hand and then fires down to 2B with short, quick arm action and solid arm strength, with throws topping at 73 MPH. Flashed quick and clean footwork, good accuracy on throws, popped as low as 1.95 seconds on throws down to 2B. Very good student.
