Cody Rech is a 2020 C/MIF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Cambridge HS. Lean frame with room to fill out and add strength. Primary catcher with a short arm stroke and arm strength recorded up 78 mph. Best pop time of 1.92 seconds with a quick transfer and release. Really quick transfer and gets on top of the ball nicely with good overall feel for catch and throw skills in general. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, simple hand load, and a direct hand path to contact. Hanging leg lift trigger into the swing with a repeatable path. Consistent barrel awareness with a gap-to-gap approach. Open stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Full finish through the ball and works primarily to the middle and pull side of the field. Good student.
