Blake Daubenmier is a 2022 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Linn-Mar. He has a tall frame with a lanky build that has plenty of room to add strength and projects well. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Primary first baseman that has decent movements fielding the ball and around the bag. He he showed solid arm strength throwing to the bases and was able to generate carry through the target. Secondary right-handed pitcher that uses a knee to belt leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He throws with a long arm action and fires from a 3/4 arm slot. He shows the ball early and could stride down the mound more with his size. His fastball has some cutting action when in the zone. His curveball has 12-6 shape with sharp, short break. Also features a changeup that has nice fade and depth to it. Also worked out in the outfield, fielding the ball off his front foot well and throwing with a short arm action. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base that is open with an even hand set. He has quick hands and takes them on a direct path, staying short to the ball. He has a gap-to-gap approach and showed the ability to elevate the ball and create carry on his line drives. Good student. Named to the Fall Midwest Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
