Xaden Benson is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Atlanta. Showed plus speed with a 6.65 second sixty. Primary short stop with an average athletic build. Showed good actions that translate to the game. Works around the ball well with the feet showing some feel for the glove as he brings it in. Ball comes out on time with carry across the infield showing some arm strength up to 85 mph. Looks smooth in the outfield working to the ball and maintaining momentum into the throws while keeping the ball down and on a line to the base. Starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift on the mound with a shorter arm action. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot falling off glove side occasionally at the release. The fastball sat 75-83 mph with more command as the outing went on allowing him to get outs quickly. Throws a short breaking ball in the upper 60's as the secondary offering with two plane shape through the hitting zone. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base in an upright athletic stance. Smaller upper half ration into the load before staying compact through the hitting zone and controlling the barrel path with a strong top hand. Showed some pop to the middle of the field and found the barrel in games action with line drive type contact. Excellent student. Named to the 2022 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
