Tyler Boutwell is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Lambert. Long and lean framed primary right-handed outfielder ran a 6.90 second sixty yard dash with long smooth strides. Hesitant on fielding balls and has a long arm action which took time to gather, but once he did, the arm strength of 79 mph plays. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a lot of pitches and velocities in his arsenal. He threw only from the stretch and repeated his delivery on all four of his pitches with strikes in the zone. Ran the fastball up to 81 mph, a cutter with tight lateral break, a curveball and changeup. The curveball has true 11/5 break and showed the ability to differentiate between the two with 65 mph curveball and a 70 mph cutter. Changeup was 73 mph as he covered all speeds and quadrants with a four-pitch mix. Right-handed hitter starts with high hand setup and straight upward barrel. He lowers his hands at the start of his stride and looks to lift from bottom of zone with a downward plane. When he gets it out front, he really impacts the baseball with his big frame. Timing of his hands getting down in the slot before initiating his natural swing is key for him.Outstanding student with a 3.95 GPA.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
